Wind farm Immenberg

Project overview

For the Immenberg wind farm repowering project, BayWa r.e. replaced eight old wind turbines, each with a capacity of 1.5 MW and a hub height of 65 meters, with eight new turbines. This more than doubled the wind farm's installed capacity.

Seven wind turbines were sold to the NaturEnergie Region Hannover eG cooperative. Following the successful completion of this repowering project, the turbines thus passed into public ownership. This underlines our commitment to involving citizens and communities as active players in the energy transition and to placing regional value creation at the heart of our projects.
