BayWa r.e. and Siemens Gamesa Germany have signed a framework agreement for the delivery of maintenance services at the medium-high voltage range.
Established for a period of two years, the contract provides for the servicing of 230 onshore wind turbines featuring a total power of approximately 600 MW as well as an extensive maintenance plan. With immediate effect, regional BayWa r.e. service teams will carry out grid protection inspection and DGUV V3-inspection services as well as the maintenance of transformer stations and substations, including interference suppression services.
“We have always been committed to high service quality and have continuously expanded our O&M service portfolio in recent years. The successful conclusion of the contract with Siemens Gamesa shows once again that this strategy pays off“, says Tobias Bittkau, Global Director of Services at BayWa r.e. Marc Niem, Director of BayWa r.e. Operation Services GmbH adds: "By taking over the service division of Sybac Solar in early 2018, we were able to improve our regional presence and response times throughout Germany. As a result, we can now not only offer our customers comprehensive services in the area of operations management but also customised individual services such as the medium voltage work agreed with Siemens."
The cooperation with Siemens Gamesa enables BayWa to consolidate its position as one of Europe’s leading O&M service providers.
